Please can you translate "SMALL PIES" in to French language?

I am trying to design the retail packaging for small frozen dessert pies and would like to use a French word instead of "small" or "mini" for the advertisement.

How about using the article "la" with a singular ? It gives a "generic" meaning to the word. "La petite tarte" means something like "the only (true) small pie"

1- "La petite tarte"

or

2- "La tartelette".

I vote for option 1. I would also add a mention like "original recipe", ie "recette originale".

I think "Tartelette" is the best word you can use to describe a small pie

I too opt for tartelettes...they can either be sugary or savory...good luck

I d say the translation would be:

"petit pâté"

You can have them savoury or sugary. Tarte is like an apple pie really.

Petit pâté is more like a sausage roll (the pastry (puff) texture is different)

Petites for small

Tartes for Pies

even if Mini is frequently used in such occasion. Other option is "baby"...

All the best.

Hi,

I suggest "tartelette(s)" (you may prefer "barquette" but I find it less explicit).

Best regards
